Terms of Use

We provide a page where a seller can show their products, a checkout form that collects an order, a record of that order, and a notification when something happens. That is the whole service.

We are not a shop, a marketplace operator, a payment service, or a delivery company. We do not own, stock, inspect, or ship any of the goods listed on Suuqa Kici.

When you buy from a store on Suuqa Kici, the agreement is between you and that seller. We are not a party to it, not an agent for either side, and not a guarantor of it.

The seller is responsible for their products, their prices, their descriptions, their delivery, and their conduct. We are responsible for the software.

Payment happens entirely outside Suuqa Kici. The buyer sends money from their own mobile wallet directly to the seller's EVC Plus number. It does not pass through us at any point.

This means we hold no funds, offer no escrow, and cannot issue a refund or reverse a transfer — not because we decline to, but because we never receive the money and have no ability to move it. Any refund is a matter between the buyer and the seller.

When a buyer taps “I have sent the money”, that is the buyer's own statement. It is not a confirmation from us and it is not proof of anything. We have no access to Hormuud's records and no way to check whether a transfer took place.

An order is only confirmed when the seller finds the payment in their own wallet messages and marks it received. Sellers should never send goods on the strength of the buyer's claim alone.

Anyone can open a store on Suuqa Kici. We do not verify a seller's identity, their business, their products, their stock, or their intentions. We have no relationship with them beyond providing the software, and we do not vouch for any of them.

We are not responsible for fraud, non-delivery, misdescribed or counterfeit goods, or any other loss arising from dealing with a seller. Deciding whether to trust a seller is the buyer's own decision, exactly as it is when buying from someone on social media.

We do act on reports. Anyone can report a store to us, and we may suspend or remove a store, hide a review, or refuse service to anyone, at our discretion and without notice. Doing so does not make us responsible for what happened, and we are not obliged to investigate, mediate, or compensate anyone.

By opening a store you confirm and agree that:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You are selling in your own name and on your own account. You are the seller; we are not selling on your behalf.
• The EVC Plus number on your store is yours and you are entitled to receive payments on it.
• Your listings are accurate — real products, real prices, real stock — and you will honor orders you confirm.
• You will not sell anything illegal, stolen, counterfeit, or dangerous, and you will not impersonate another business.
• You will use a buyer's details — their name, phone number, area, and map pin — only to fulfil that order. Not to resell, not to market to them, not for anything else.
• You are responsible for your own taxes, licences, and legal obligations. We do not provide any of that, and nothing here makes us your partner, employer, or agent.

You are responsible for what happens on your store. If a buyer suffers a loss because of you, that is between you and them, and you will cover any cost we incur because of it.

• You are paying the seller, not Suuqa Kici. Check the store and the EVC number before you send money.
• Do not report a payment you have not actually sent. Doing so wastes a seller's time and may lose you access.
• Delivery is arranged by the seller. Ask them about timing, cost, and anything that goes wrong with it.
• Problems with an order — it never arrived, it was not as described, you want your money back — are between you and the seller. Report the store to us and we will look at it, but we cannot recover your money.

Only a buyer with a real order at a store can review it, one review per order, after verifying an email address. Reviews are about a store, not an individual product.

Sellers cannot delete or hide reviews — they can report one to us and say why, and only we can hide it. Reviews are the opinion of the buyer who wrote them, not ours.

Buying on Suuqa Kici is free. Sellers get their first 30 days free, and after that a store costs $5 a month, paid by transfer to us from the seller's own mobile wallet. A store whose month has not been paid is closed to buyers until it is; the seller's products, orders and account are not deleted.

Paying for a month does not change anything else in these terms. We are still not a party to any sale, we still never hold or transfer the money a buyer sends a seller, and we still do not screen sellers or verify goods.

We give no guarantee that the service will be available, that it will keep working, that notifications will arrive, or that data will not be lost. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time, and we may change the price with notice.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss of money, goods, profit, data, or reputation arising from your use of Suuqa Kici or from any dealing with anyone you met through it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You can stop using Suuqa Kici at any time, and sellers can delete their account from the account deletion page. We may suspend or close any account or store at our discretion. Orders already placed remain the responsibility of the people who made them.

The law that governs these terms has not yet been settled and will be stated here once it is. Nothing in this section limits any right you have that cannot be limited by the law that applies to you.

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Significant changes will be shown in the seller dashboard. Continuing to use Suuqa Kici after a change means you accept it.
